New Fuel Cell of the Future! Producing energy at an instant.

A Silicon Valley company, Bloom Energy is now leading the way into a new green era. 
Over 400 million dollars has been collected by investors for the new solid oxide fuel cell. These cells are brought to you by Bloom Energy. Bloom Energy is well on its way to leading this world into a new green era. Right now some of the biggest corporations in the world have begun to implement these new fuel cells for their bases of operation. Some of these corporations include Fed Ex, Google, Ebay, and Walmart. Even some big banks have gotten into the movement, while some may think this is hypocritical I am sure that it is the big banks that have the ability to lead this world into the new green era. Currently Bank of America has implemented these new fuel cells into their head quarters. So if Bloom Energy can impress the banks of the world then perhaps we are closer to a new green era than we think. E-Bay has already reported 100,000 dollars in in electricity cost savings from the new Bloom Box Fuel Cell system. E-Bay has 5 Bloom boxes which were installed just under 10 months ago. These 5 Bloom boxes have been very impressive both by E-Bay & the othe companies that have decided to use the new fuel cells. While there have been a few minor issues with the Bloom Box they have now all been resolved and the Bloom Box is fulfilling many corporate energy saving needs. So right now Bloom Energy is thrusting our world into the next generation of green fuel cells.

Bloom Energies co-founder and chief executive K. R. Sridhar claims that these new solar cells have the ability to cut electricity cost across the U.S. Cheaper electricity is one of the goals of a good fuel cell, as well as cheap production of the fuel cells themselves. This is exactly what Chief Executive K.R. Sridhar claims. Sridhar claims that these fuel cells are so cost effective to make that in the next ten years they will be a mere 3,000 dollars per unit and move into houses across America. This is a bold claim, and I can only hope Sridhar is right. Bloom Energy is keeping the ultra secretive bloom box fuel cells very close to the chest. However the claims that the new Bloom box is the most cost effective fuel cell ever made, go on. These fuel cells pictured above, are easy to make, easy to mass produce, and relatively easy to maintain. So if the world is ready the Bloom box will take the world by storm in the very near future.

So from what I have heard I am very excited as the new Bloom Box fuel cells have revolutionized fuel cell technology. The problem with fuel cells in general are many. For one there are a lot of small expensive parts that have to last up to 30 years. However the Bloom Fuel Cells are different. What makes the Bloom Fuel Cells different you might ask? What makes the Bloom Box Fuel Cells so different from other fuel cells attempted in the past is their revolutionary simplicity. A typicall fuel cell is made by using expensive materials such as platinum and gold very expensive materials. The replacement to that would be materials that are highly corrosive. These typical fuel cells worked by converting things like natural gas, or hydrogen into electricity by an electrochemical conversion. However there is always some sort of issue with the current fuel cell technology. The Bloom box Fuel Cells are different from those fuel cells made in the past. Bloom box fuel cells are made by common natural cost friendly materials. So how are the fuel cells in the Bloom box created? 


Well for the most part Bloom Energy is keeping that to itself. Perhaps it is some kind of NASA technology used on space shuttles. As good of a guess as anyone I guess, as Sridhar is a former NASA scientist. Obviously it is a highly valuable corporate secret, so that would be a good reason to keep the information secret. We do know the basics of these new Bloom box fuel cells. These fuel cells are made using simple materials as I stated above. What we do know about these fuel cells is that they are made up of a thin white ceramic wafer which is made from common beach sand. Yes, I said common beach sand. Can you really get any more greener than that? On each side of these wafers there is a different colored ink. One side of the wafer is painted lime green which acts as the anode. On the reverse side there is black ink, which acts as the cathode. As for what this ink is made from, the executives at Bloom Energy still will not say. Trade secrets, and if their confidence shows true, a very crafty trade secret. So how exactly do these new Bloom box fuel cells work? 

These Bloom box fuel cells work by passing a natural gas or other fuel source over the fuel cells, and then the particular gas mixes with oxygen from the air, then the chemical reaction creates and generates electricity. The Bloom box fuel cells used by E-Bay are actually supplied with a Biogas from a landfill near their head quarters. Biogas is the next generation in fuel cell technology. Right now there are several both private, and governmental companies using their trash, or the local landfill to generate their electricity. So the new Bloom box should be a great addition for a lot of companies, both private and state & local government. The makers of the Bloom box should be saluted, for bringing the world its first highly functioning solar cell. The question to come is weather or not the world will keep up with the latest energy technological revolution, the Bloom box.


So the bottom line, Bloom Box Fuel Cells work! Bloom box fuel cells create electricity at a cost as low as 8 cents per kilowatt hour. So if the world is ready, then the Bloom box will take the world by storm! If the world still refuses to turn away from petroleum, then the bloom box will fail. With the failing of the bloom box, humans may just go down with it.

Nuclear Fusion Viable Energy of the Future?

We all have been told about Fusion for years now, and for some it is starting to get very redundant. However with the recent earthquake in Japan and the destruction of some major Nuclear power plants it is not to hard to imagine them chalking Fission and moving to Fusion. 

For some this may be a terrifying idea after such an event. I will say that if we learn from tragedies of the past and evolve in our methods for preventing such crucial destruction to such critical Nuclear Reactors. Then perhaps we will be able to truly evolve as a species and become a much more energy efficient species utilizing high technologies of the future. Not to mention the fact that there are non radioactive nuclear fusion fuels.  

According to FUSION POWER ASSOCIATES China will be exploring magnetic confinement fusion (MCF) over the next ten years. This confinement fusion is most likely to be the money maker. Magnetic confinement fusion is the most practical means of successful nuclear fusion. MCF works simply by using Plasma's electrical conductivity properties contained within magnetic fields. The basics of MCF is pretty simple to grasp. Cylinders with wound up magnetic coils with the field lines bent around in order to encircle themselves. This is a major breakthrough in Fusion Energy and equates to a viable solution to Fusion Energy.

It now looks as if Nuclear Fusion is finally at hand, and we may have a major solution to the ongoing energy crisis. There are billions of dollars wrapped up in Fusion Energy, the issue of the past was a lack of a viable way to bring a working Nuclear Fusion Reactor. However now we have seen the true power of Fusion and even some capitalist are putting in their two cents.

While there are no working Nuclear Fusion Reactors built just yet that does not mean Nuclear Fusion has not been done. Most people think of the typical working Nuclear Fission Reactor, the problem is we might not see anything that resembles Nuclear Power of the past.

MIT has actually created just the Reactor I have been talking about. It is not a Reactor on the large scale mind you, it is a Nuclear Reactor of a small scale, but with massive amounts of heat and power. MIT's Alcator C-Mod reactor is an amazing feat of engineering. As well MIT's tokamak plasma discharge reactor being smaller in size than most around the world creates a much stronger magnetic field than other similar larger reactors. This is a very good sign, as this means that the super hot plasma rotating around the loop is much denser at similar temperatures.

If things continue the way they are we will never see a viable nuclear fusion reactor. However if we continue to indulge in such viable energy alternatives and keep building these reactors bigger and simpler then we will see our first Fusion powered Nuclear reactor light up a grid near you by 2020 if not sooner. So for now let us hope for the best.
